About Kodie

Kodie has had the good fortune to have lived and worked in various roles in the South-West, Great Southern, Kimberley and Northern Territory.

Alongside graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Education) in 2020 and a Diploma of Aboriginal Studies in 2012, she has worked in disability services, youth emergency care, and as a remote Art Worker in some of the most isolated Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory and Kimberley. She has volunteered on numerous school holiday programs in northern Australia, and coordinated a school university program in Jakarta.

After completing a Certificate in Meditation Teaching and a Certificate in Holistic Counselling in 2019, Kodie’s interests gravitated towards mindfulness meditation, in particular breathwork, movement and body relaxation meditation. She unofficially started Smiling Fox in 2019 to offer free meditation in small group sessions from her home and online, and she is now a registered Meditation Teacher and Holistic Counsellor with the International Meditation Teachers and Therapists Association.

Kodie has experienced first-hand the incredible gains to stress management, clarity and coping with difficult emotions that meditation brings and is eager to share this important tool with her young clients.
